大安寺
だいあんじ【大安寺】
奈良市にある真言宗の寺。 南都七大寺の一。 617年聖徳太子が現在の大和郡山市に建立した熊凝(クマゴリ)精舎に始まるという。 のち百済(クダラ)川のほとりに移り百済大寺， さらに高市(タケチ)郡に移り高市大寺（のちに大官大寺と改称）と称した。 平城遷都後， 左京六条四坊の現在地に移り， 現名に改称。 東大寺と並ぶ大寺で南大寺と呼ばれたが， その後衰微。 天平後期の大安寺様式と称する仏像群を残す。
